About Me
Dr. Shraddha Joshi is a distinguished academician, researcher, and clinician in the field of Ayurveda, with specialized expertise in Shalakya Tantra (Ayurvedic Ophthalmology, ENT, and Dentistry). She completed her B.A.M.S. from Patanjali Bhartiya Ayurvigyan evam Anusandhan Sansthan (2010–2016), where she developed a strong foundation in classical and contemporary Ayurvedic sciences.
She pursued her M.S. in Shalakya Tantra (2017–2020) and subsequently completed her Ph.D. (Ayu.) in Shalakya Tantra (2021–2023) from the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, one of India’s premier institutions for Ayurvedic education and research.
Dr. Joshi has consistently demonstrated excellence in academics, research, and clinical practice. She served as an Assistant Professor from 2023 to 2024, contributing actively to teaching and academic development. She later worked as a Medical Officer under the Government of Uttarakhand (2024–2025), where she provided dedicated patient care while integrating her clinical expertise with research and academic engagement.
Currently, Dr. Joshi is serving as an Assistant Professor at Himalayan Ayurvedic Medical College (HAMC), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where she is actively involved in teaching, research guidance, and student mentorship.
Her academic contributions include presentations at 17 national and international conferences, where she has received three Best Paper Presentation Awards at international platforms. She has also authored 25 original research articles published in reputed peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed, and UGC-listed international journals.
To further strengthen her research expertise, Dr. Joshi has completed certification programs in Research Methodology and Medical Statistics. She also serves as a reviewer for reputed academic journals and contributes as a regular columnist on Eye and ENT topics for The Ancient Ayurveda Magazine.
Dr. Joshi is the author of the academic book Research Methodology, Medical Statistics, and Teaching Aptitude, published by Chaukhamba Surbharati Prakashan, which has been widely appreciated as a comprehensive academic resource for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars.
She is also the author of the recently published textbooks Illustrated Textbook of Shalakya Tantra Volume 1 and Illustrated Textbook of Shalakya Tantra Volume 2, published by Chaukhamba Surbharati Prakashan. These books provide a comprehensive and illustrated approach to Shalakya Tantra, making complex Ayurvedic concepts in ophthalmology, ENT, and dentistry easier for students and practitioners to understand.
Through her clinical practice, academic engagement, authorship, and research contributions, Dr. Joshi continues to work toward the advancement of Ayurvedic knowledge, education, and evidence-based practice.
